Each summer we seek out exceptional young people to help lead our camp. We pride ourselves on offering top-flight instruction in each of the many activities at the camp. If you have special skills and enjoy teaching and leading, please get in touch with us as soon as possible. Our positions fill well before the summer season.
You can learn a little about this summer`s great crew here.
Woodcraft is set on nearly 300 acres of forests, fields and pristine lakes. We have over 3 miles of unspoiled shoreline, 1.5 miles of wilderness river frontage, and direct access to unique system of trails and overnight camping sites in the Adirondack Park.
Our facility is very special, but it is our staff that makes the camp extraordinary. This means all of the people you will work with here are bringing something extra to what they do. The setting and staff makes for a great way to spend your summer.
We have approximately 100-120 campers, a 3.5-to-1 camper to staff ratio, and an average cabin size of five. This adds up to a pressure-free, fun and supportive atmosphere. You will have time to get to know and work with individual campers. You will have the support of a highly skilled and caring administration and staff. John and Dave Leach, the Director/Owners, have more than 30 years of Woodcraft experience. They hold Master’s Degrees in Education and teach and coach in the local public school system. Alex Bumpas, the program director is also a schoolteacher in the Louisville Kentucky area. Many of our other key staff members are professional educators with years of experience both in education and in the wilderness setting.
