OUTDOOR LEADERSHIP TRAINING DIVISION

OLTD PROGRAM DETAILS:  

To be eligible, applicants must be 16 years old by June 15 and entering 11th or 12th grade in the fall.

Each Session: In-camp training & activity skill building, one 4-5 day wilderness training trip, plus one OLTD Day Off.

Parent's Weekend: All OLTDs staying full session may take parents weekend to spend time with their family!

Application Process: Interested OLTDs write a letter of interest to the camp directors describing their desire & ability to cooperate in a small group setting, work with children, act as a positive role model, learn to coach activities, and complete wilderness training trips. All OLTD applications will include one letter of recommendation. 

Community Service: Our OLTDS are often able to use their time spent as counselors in training to complete community service hours required. We are happy to support with a letter and program information.

Day Camp: $400

Day Camp at Woodcraft is available as an introduction to what Summer Camp at Adirondack Woodcraft Camps is all about! We welcome local families and families who are vacationing in Old Forge or Inlet to explore our themed day camp options which run select weeks during the summer. Here’s how the themed weeks work: Every morning, campers join activities that are focused on the week’s theme and each afternoon, campers will experience a wide range of traditional Woodcraft summer camp activities. So much fun all in one place!

Ages 6-11, Mondays through Thursdays 10:15am-4:30pm

Day Camp Week 1, June 30-July 3: Olympics (Sports and Archery) 

Day Camp  Week 2, July 7-10: Rocks & Ropes (Rock Wall , Zip Line, Ropes Course) 

Day Camp Week 3, July 14-17: Paddle Palooza (Canoe, Kayak, SUP, Rowboat) 

Day Camp Week 4, July 21-24: Olympics (Sports and Archery) 

Day Camp Week 5, July 28-July 31: Nature Ninjas (Outdoor Learning Skills, Nature crafts, Outdoor Leadership Skills)
