Fundraising Goals
Friends of Woodcraft is participating in a fantastic fundraising event. We've already received a matching gift of $25,000 from a charitable organization in the Mohawk Valley, of which Friends of Woodcraft is a part. Doug has been working fervently to secure major donors, and we hope to have another $20,000 of matching funds available within the next 24 hours. These funds will only be available if we meet the matches and challenges that the major donors pose, so there is no better time to give! Any and every dollar of your generosity makes an enormous difference. Don't forget to check to see if your employer offers matching donations!
There are many camp needs that Friends of Woodcraft hopes to help address with these fundraising goals. The most immediate include creating a sustainable scholarship fund, replacing and improving our retired rock wall, and adding bathrooms to the dining hall with an accessible ramp. Longer-term dreams include building a year-round alumni lodge and building a pavilion to house a covered outdoor recreation space.
In order to count, all donations must go through Mohawk Valley Gives. For each donation, Mohawk Valley Gives will send a tax-deductible receipt.
Summer Camp 2026
2026 enrollment is open. The magic that Woodcraft offers is unique. The secret to our long-term success is to attract new campers through your referrals. Share the good news and recommend Woodcraft to your family, friends, and neighbors!
Retreats at Woodcraft
The power of Woodcraft reaches beyond summer camp. Woodcraft truly touches the lives of every person who visits camp. This was evident once again as we hosted our 6th annual retreat with JoyUs Foundation last weekend. JoyUs works to restore joy in the lives of cancer survivors and their families. Having worked closely with this important organization and wonderful families over the years, we understand how deeply Woodcraft inspires. There were many incredible moments and here are just a few quotes:
"Thank you for the amazing weekend of serenity, adventure, and community. For me, the most joyful part of the weekend was watching how the young ones, especially the teenagers, came together. In the absence of the usual distractions and typical barriers, they demonstrated support and friendship in ways I doubt they would have away from this space."
"This is a very peaceful place! I love doing the ropes course and playing with Sunny. I had so much fun."
"Wow - how to capture the beauty of this weekend. We started as strangers and ended as friends."
And camp friends, we will always be! Signing off now with our best wishes to you.
Sending our best wishes to Woodcrafters everywhere,
The Bartlett Family
