Adirondack Woodcraft Summer Camp and Coronavirus

Mar 17, 2020

Dear Woodcraft Families,

We hope this finds you well and remaining positive amongst the intensity of the news and life changes surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19.) We send our best to you from our home office at Woodcraft and will continue to update you on camp news as we move closer to summer.

The health and safety of our camp community is our highest priority. We continue to monitor information from public health agencies as it becomes available. While we know we must stay fluid in our plans, we are keeping calm and carrying on with what we know how to do best, which is to plan for a safe and fun summer ahead at Adirondack Woodcraft Camps. The snow and ice is beginning to melt and soon we will see bright greens mixed in with our pine trees rimming the horizon. The lake water will warm and we (especially our camp dog, Sunny!) will test the temperature well before our summer campers arrive. Staff training is 3 months away, and it is our hope that much will have changed by then. Should our hopes come true, we can’t imagine a better place for our campers to regain their social freedom than at their beautiful and pristine home away from home at Adirondack Woodcraft Camps.

In case you have not yet had the chance to read our letter addressing health and safety measures in regard to camp and COVID-19, please find the link here. We continue, as always, to follow all guidelines as put forth by the New York State Department of Health, the CDC, and the federal government and will respond to any concerns accordingly.

We are sure many of your are wondering about our financial policy surrounding these unusual circumstances. Should the COVID-19 risk to our campers and staff warrant the closing of a Woodcraft camp session, we will refund your tuition. The same holds true for those campers who are unable to attend Woodcraft due to travel restrictions in their country.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any questions. We look forward to serving you as best we can!

Wishing you a peaceful evening from Adirondack Woodcraft Camps,

The Bartlett Family
